Service Description
This course is designed to give novice stitchers a comprehensive foundation in machine sewing. Students will walk away with the skills they need to make a project from start to finish and will gain the confidence to begin tackling anything. Skills learned: - Machine operation: sewing straight lines, pivoting, backstitching, changing machine settings, troubleshooting and coordination. -Stitch types and seaming - Discuss fabric types - Needle Types - Making pockets - Pattern layout, grainlines, and cutting techniques - Fusing/interfacing - Installing various zippers - Simple pattern drafting - Incorporating a lining to garment Skill Level: Novice. No experience needed. We limited machines available, we suggest bringing your own to learn with your machine you plan to use for future projects. Sewing Tools are provided. Project materials not included. You do not need to bring anything to the first week and we will go over all the fabric supplies you need to purchase by the second class. Weekly Class Syllabus will be provided.
